Monday.com

Gravity SMS for Monday.com runs natively inside Monday — Send/Receive SMS recipes on any board, through your own RingCentral numbers. During the pre-marketplace period it's gated behind a Gravity SMS account: you activate in the portal, then connect once inside Monday's Settings tab.

Pre-marketplace access
The app is not yet on the Monday marketplace. Setup requires a Gravity SMS account and a one-time API-key paste (steps below). When the marketplace listing goes live this flow will change — this page will be updated then.

What you can do

  • Send SMS from board automations triggered by item changes, status updates, due dates, button clicks, etc.
  • Receive SMS replies that fire Monday triggers (create items, post updates, etc.).
  • Use Monday's own conditional logic and recipes — no separate automation tool needed.

Setup

  1. In the Gravity SMS portal, sign up (or sign in), go to Integrations, and click Activate monday app. Copy the API key it issues.
  2. Install the Monday app via the install link and approve the requested permissions. It appears under your Monday Installed apps.
  3. In Monday, open Installed apps → Gravity SMS → Settings tab, then complete the 3-step checklist:
    • ① Authorize Gravity SMS — click Authorize and approve Monday permissions (grants the board access the SMS-received triggers need). Required — installing alone does not grant this.
    • ② Connect your Gravity SMS account — paste the API key from step 1. One time, in Settings — not per recipe.
    • ③ Connect RingCentral — connect your extension via the popup. Returning customers: existing RingCentral connections appear automatically.
  4. On any board, add a Gravity SMS recipe (Integrate → Add recipe → find Gravity SMS in the recipe builder). No per-recipe credentials.
Consent (TCPA / similar) is your responsibility
Board automations that send SMS on every status change can quickly become bulk messages without recipient consent. Confirm each recipient has opted in.
